: Elopement, Wedding

Asheville, North Carolina Elopement – Sarah + Ellis

Asheville, NC

Sarah has been a dear friend of mine since college, so when I received news of her and Ellis’ engagement, I requested the honor of photographing their big day. Luckily they chose me, and I was beyond thrilled.

Sarah and Ellis met in Jacksonville, FL – Ellis even grew up in a house down the street from where I owned my first home (small world eh?). Fun fact: they owned and lived on a sailboat for a few years. It even got my husband thinking about making the transition to full-time “boat life” (we decided with 3 pets, that wasn’t really realistic for us…).

Sarah and Ellis are one of the most adventurous and down-to-earth couples I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. They’re always down for new experiences. The original plan for their elopement was to jet set out to Las Vegas but with things turning so quickly globally, it was decided to have a small ceremony in the mountains of Western North Carolina instead.

We started out at the Bumbombe County Courthouse to make things “official.” Afterwards we enjoyed our time getting ready for our waterfall adventure in Sarah and Ellis’ hotel room at The Omni Grove Park Inn in North Asheville. We then made our way to Looking Glass Falls for some beautiful blue hour photographs. Ever moment captured of this loving couple expresses their pure joy and excitement for their greatest adventure yet, marriage. I couldn’t be happier for them.
